Have I mentioned that I’m currently in Sweden? Much of Stockholm is still frozen; I walked on Lake Trekanten last weekend (here). We’re in the middle of a light snow storm that started last night and should continue into tomorrow. Is it any wonder I just want to knit?

Remember the Bowline hat I made for Marcus? I started a second one. For me! The yarn is Madeline Tosh Merino DK in the color Winter Wheat. I love it. ^_^ – View on Path.

Choices…

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Stitches West with Hilary and Erica. We ran into another friend who was wearing a Sasha skirt (ravelry) and I fell in love with it.

The design is by Trudy Van Stralen and the pattern is distributed by Louet. You can see the details here.

I’ve had some skeins of Louet’s Euroflax Sport in a golden yellow color for a few years now, and Erica very generously bought me some contrasting colors to complete the requirements for this skirt. But, then, I realized that I had two choices for the color palette and I’m really not sure which one I prefer…

Palette 1: Summer sunshine, fluffy white clouds, and blue skies.

I love the contrasting, slightly variegated colors of the Claudia handpainted linen yarns.

Palette 2: A summery look with a hint of dark clouds.

I also really like this combination, but perhaps the dark grey is too dark?

So, what do you think? ^_^
